Amazon photo rules

Amazon product image requirements, checked

Amazon is the strictest of the big marketplaces about the main image. Here’s what its US Seller Central guide asks for, and what it does when an image misses.

The rules

Where the studio helps

  • White Wall Mode puts the product on #ffffff (RGB 255, 255, 255) with no shadow, and exports a 2000 × 2000 JPEG: twice the size zoom needs.
  • For the 85% rule, choose Tight framing: the product’s longest side then fills 88% of the frame.
  • PicDad doesn’t check the other rules for you. Props, packaging, mannequins and text are up to the photo you bring.
